Brain Injury Association of Niagara


We are pleased to announce that our proceeds will be donated to the Brain Injury Association of Niagara (BIAN).  In the past 3 years, the Birmingham Family Foundation donated over $11,000 to BIAN with the proceeds being used for a Christmas Party for its members, improving landscaping for the Clubhouse, and family geared activities.

 The Brain Injury Association of Niagara is committed to empowering and maximizing the quality of life for individuals living with the effects of an acquired brain injury and their families and caregivers through support, advocacy, and information.

Key Services Provided

  • Facilitated support groups for individuals living with ABI and caregivers

  • Affordale access to the YMCA

  • Affordable access to BIAN’s Oasis Clubhouse

  • Social and community activities for individuals living with brain injury and their families

  • Peer support program

  • Advocacy services which support individuals in identifying and accessing needed community resources

  • Biennial BIAN conference presenting the current scientific and clinical research on brain injury

  • Educational information about brain injury to support community agencies who serve individuals living with effects of brain injury

  • Collaboration with other agencies to host events which focus on the prevention of brain injury in our community
